Which are the best books for the JEE?

JEE has a very vast syllabus to cover and is also considered as one of the largest exams in the world.

So let me first begin sharing the complete syllabus from both Class XI and Class XII for you!

Each of these subjects is for 100 each and 30 Questions in each subject.

So now coming to the selection of the Books, of course there are many books in the market which are focusing on specific aspects of Particular subjects. However, it is completely your choice whether you want to buy and involve yourself in all of them or just pick the major ones.

Please note, this does not mean that you are prepared any less. You can always take references from e-learnings to prepare yourself better from the convenience of your home.

So starting with Physics: While NCERT is a must and HC Verma (both 1 and 2) are widely studied. It helps you to build a very strong conceptual understanding of the subject which otherwise from NCERT you may not really be able to prepare.

About Chemistry: So there are three sections here

Organic Chemistry: You can choose either OP Tandon or Arihant Series. While Arihant helps you with deeper understanding, OP Tandon gives you enough MCQs to practice. So pick either of them.

Inorganic Chemistry: Again, alongside NCERT, you can choose between OP Tandon and Arihant Series. They both are excellent for you to pick any one of them.

Physical Chemistry: OP Tandon is very known amongst the aspirants for studying Physical Chemistry and it also offers ample number of MCQs for you to practice. SO yes, you can go for it.

Lastly, Mathematics: Here, you need a lot of practice, therefore, RD Sharma regardless you are preparing of JEE or anything, students practice RD Sharma throughout the year. So, if you want to go a little higher level, then you may opt for Cengage Series to practice more qualitative questions.

Some of the other Topic-specific books you may want to refer could be Plane Trignometry and Coordinate Geomtery BY SL LONEY, or Problems in Calculus of One Variable by IA Maron.

Lastly, your own NOTES plays a crucial role in retaining everything and anything you are studying. You need to keep referring back to these notes and they come very handy.
