JIPMER Exam Pattern: The institute conducts a single computer-based (offline) entrance exam for UG aspirants seeking admission to MBBS courses. This year, the exam is scheduled for June 2 in two shifts – morning and evening.

The duration of the paper will be 2½ hours.

JIPMER Exam Pattern 2019 in Detail

The exam pattern of JIPMER 2019 is such that the question paper will contain 200 multiple choice questions.

The questions will be based on topics from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English covered in class 11 and class 12.

Distribution of questions in JIPMER 2019 exam will be as follows:

Some other points to note:

The score such obtained will be the raw score.

These raw scores will be used to determine Percentile score (for the purpose of eligibility using Cut offs and determining Merit/ Ranking.
As per the official booklet of JIPMER, minimum eligible marks for MBBS entrance will be 50 percentile for general category candidates and 40 percentile for SC/ST category candidates.

Section A: Reading Unseen Passages and Note-making
Section B: Writing Skills
Section C: Literature and Long Reading Text
Some of the questions will be based on synonyms, antonyms and vocabulary


Logic and Quantitative Reasoning

As for Logic and Quantitative Reasoning there is no set syllabus. However, candidates can expect questions from the following areas:
