We are now very close to our NEET exams 2020 and scoring 600+ marks in NEET 2020 means that you must get at least 150 MCQs correct out of 180 questions (excluding any negative marking).

Strategically you may attempt 165 questions assuming 5-10 MCQs may go wrong.

So let’s start with your perfect recipe for scoring 600+ marks in NEET 2020.

As the time left now is very less, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Books and Notes:

Considering NCERT is your bible, you can score 280-300+ in Biology,70–90+ in Physics and chemistry.

Biology: While Biology holds 360 Marks in your NEET exams, almost 90% of the questions in Biology are from NCERT. When we say that NCERT, means you have to study it word by word, lines, labelings, diagrams, etc. Further, Fingertips by MTG is a must to practice MCQs for Biology. As Biology is about learning, you can save time by practicing MCQs and enhancing the time taken to answer those MCQs.

Chemistry: Now, here Chemistry holds 180 Marks, however, it has 3 subdivided categories like Physical Chemistry, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry. For Physical Chemistry- we recommend you to start with NCERT and also refer to OP Tandon or N Awasthi for MCQs. Further to Inorganic Chemistry, NCERT continues to be your bible here. Lastly, Organic Chemistry: OP Tandon for detailed explanation and concepts. For Chemistry, keep the target score of 150. Again, that is very easy if you have a good hold on physical Chemistry.

Physics: Like Chemistry, physics also holds 180 Marks, however, here you need put up the maximum efforts. Along with NCERT you can refer to D.C Pandey’s series. For MCQs, you can go for Fingertips by MTG or NEET Guide by MTG. Physics is not formula based entirely. There will be certain questions which will test your concepts and logic.

2) Choose Smartness over Hardwork: As you have few days to prepare including the time you may spend in appearing for Board exams, revise and practice. We highly recommend you to study the important topics to secure marks from important topics. Considering that in January, you will be appearing for your Pre-boards, therefore, we recommend you to revise your Class 11 syllabus for all 3 subjects in February.

3) Time Management is very crucial in order to score 600+ marks in NEET 2020. We highly recommend you to practice your test series in a way that you can complete the paper within 2 hours and 30 minutes so you can solve other questions in the remaining time.

4) Avoid Negative marking: More than answering correctly, ensure to be cautious of not answering incorrectly. Therefore, Analyze the Question paper and mark them into three categories such as - Easy(E), Medium (M) and Hard(H). The safest way is to start with easy questions, then medium and towards the end attempt the hard questions. Further, most important is to refrain from answering questions at the last minute. Lastly, speed up your calculation and problem-solving skills from various sources to save time.
