Firstly, we understand that it is very little time left for preparations. However, I suggest you be wise and do not overexert and study effectively.
So now that very little time is left, here’s what you need to do:
IMPORTANT TIPS TO FOLLOW:
- NCERT: Thoroughly study Physics, Chemistry & Biology from your very own NCERT. If you study biology only from NCERT and practice MCQs from FingerTips MTG, you will be able to easily score 320+ in Biology itself. This brings you closer to your target. Now the fight is for Chemistry and Physics. Chemistry and Physics together comprise of 370 marks. Also, Chemistry is relatively easier to score as compared to Physics. Now that the time is left, focus all the time in revising the concepts and practicing MCQs. You can easily score up to 170 marks in Chemistry alone. Finally, coming to Physics, you must strive to work hard and score about 140 from 180.
- Choose Smartness over Hardwork: As you have few days to prepare including the time you may spend in appearing for Board exams, revise and practice. We highly recommend you to study the important topics to secure marks from important topics. Considering that in January, you will be appearing for your Pre-boards, therefore, we recommend you to revise your Class 11 syllabus for all 3 subjects in February.
- Practice: Try to Solve 15 years and 31 years Previous question papers topic wise with solutions will build confidence in your preparation. Practicing and solving from Test Papers highlights your pain areas. The topics you need to practice or polish the conceptual understanding. In addition, practice as many MCQs a possible from FingerTips by MTG for all subjects. Specifically for Physics, you may like to practice from DC Pandey or Arihant as NCERT is not sufficient.
- Time Management: Keep switching subjects/ topics to effectively study. You may like to spend enough time to study Physics and practice numerical, however, physics has the least weight in your scoring. You may focus more on important topics. We recommend you to keep switching the subjects after every 2-3 hrs. This gives you some variety and your brain to function differently. NEET is all about Multiple Choice Questions, therefore, time management is very crucial. Most importantly, keep a track of the time you are taking to solve a Test/ Mock Paper.
- Avoid Negative marking: More than answering correctly, ensure to be cautious of not answering incorrectly. Therefore, Analyze the Question paper and mark them into three categories such as - Easy(E), Medium (M) and Hard(H). The safest way is to start with easy questions, then medium and towards the end attempt the hard questions. Further, most important is to refrain from answering questions at the last minute. Lastly, speed up your calculation and problem-solving skills from various sources to save time.
