JEE never said that you need coaching to clear exams. Did it? But since India is a country where Time is more important, that’s why people take coaching classes to clear the JEE exams at the first attempt. There’s not a single coaching institute which can guarantee you a certain number of marks. Whether you are a topper, average scorer or not even crack the exam is in your hands.

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” Pelé, Brazilian football legend.

So if you are studying only to clear JEE and enter into Engineering college, that’s lame. But if you are studying to become an extraordinary engineer, then everything which you are studying is going to make sense.

So coming back to the question of taking coaching classes, it’s an old era.

You can opt for e-learning options where you can study the topics with video lectures, ask live questions, clear your doubts, solve Mock tests, etc. Above all, you can refer to the lectures again and again from the convenience of your home. You do not have to wait for another day or scheduled classes to clear your doubts right?

Some of the Keypoints which are very helpful for any student throughout this journey of preparing for JEE are:

  1. Learn to be Self Reliant and that way you can only believe in your own preparations.
  2. Stay away from Social Media as much as possible till the exams
  3. Do not get carried away by what friends are studying. Your own preparation is necessary.
  4. Make Notes: This is a very good habit that reaps fruit every weekend during revisions and during the anxiety month, that is the last month before the exam. This comes very handy.
  5. Make a daily regime: Having a strict schedule is of utmost importance and following it consistently is even more important. Working hard is not a single day job, you work hard when you are consistently doing so.
  6. Conceptual Understanding: You need to have your concepts right in place. If you think coaching is going to help you in that, then do so, if you think your self-study is going to help you, then do it. But have a very strong conceptual understanding. You cannot score in JEE by mugging up things.
  7. Choose the right books: Well you will come across many students and teachers referring xyz books, but you have to pick only a few upto your capacity and stick to them. It’s like being loyal to them. You cannot buy 10 books for 1 subject and think that you can study all of them in one year. No that’s unrealistic and very harmful.
  8. Practice: There are 3 perfect ingredients to this; MCQs, Mock Tests and Previous Years Papers. These 3 really helps you to score well. Practice as much as you can. There’s no compromise on this. Okay?
  9. Identify the weak points: Learning about the topics which need more attention is always scary. But the only way to improve is to first know and then work on it.
  10. Revise: Sit everyday 1–2 hrs to revise whatever you have studied today or day before because that will help you retain the topic for a longer duration.

If you follow all this, then you’ll not need to visit the coaching center daily and get extra pressure from all corners of your life.
