NEET UG 2020 is among the most difficult exams as now AIIMS and JIPMER are also merged in it. While 15 lac+ students have applied for the exams, you must prepare a strategy for yourself and study hard for the exams. 300 marks in Test series does not suffice the need to score 550+ in the final exam.

Firstly it is important to have a firm belief that you can score 550+ marks.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

  1. NCERT: Thoroughly study Physics, Chemistry & Biology from your very own NCERT. If you study biology only from NCERT and practice MCQs from FingerTips MTG is the most scoring subject among three try to master biology. If you are able to score 320+ in biology alone, then your goal will be much easier to achieve.

2. Practice: Solve 15 years and 31 years Previous question papers topic wise with solutions. In addition, practice as many MCQs a possible from FingerTips by MTG for all subjects. For Physics you may like to practice from DC Pandey or Arihant.

3. Time Management: NEET is all about Multiple Choice Questions, therefore, time management is very crucial. Hence, in order to confirm that your understanding of each topic is clear, solve chapter-wise questions. Most importantly, keep a track of time during your question practice.

4. Avoid Negative marking: More than answering correctly, we are more focused on not answering incorrectly. This is understandable and natural. Here’s what you need to do to reduce negative marking

(A) Analyze the Question paper

One of the most important and smart techniques for starting a paper is to analyze. As per your level, simply divide the questions into three categories such as - Easy(E), Medium (M) and Hard(H). This is based on your preparation. The answers you know for sure are your E and the most difficult will be marked as H. The safest way is to start with easy questions, then medium and towards the end attempt the hard questions.

(B) Avoid wasting time on the questions where you are not sure. The chances of negative marking are higher in such cases. in addition, it will only kill your time.

(C) Most important is to refrain from answering questions at the last minute.

(D) The more you practise, the more confidence you gain. Therefore, speed up your calculation and problem-solving skills from various sources to save time.
